   Agreed. A related thought that I wish more folks fully understood: a successful presidential candidate doesn’t need political positions that match a plurality of the •country•; they need political positions that match a plurality of the •electoral college• — which now skews conservative.

   If it seems like presidential candidates are more conservative that the US national median…yes, yes they are. The EC requires it.

     The voters didn't elect GWB OR Donald Trump. They voted for Kerry & Clinton.

     He really should have educated the public that the US Supreme Court gave the Presidency to GWB, & the Electoral College is why we have Trump. Not the voters.
