   Question to any of my followers who's currently online reading this and using Mastodon specifically:

   Replies by people you follow aren't shown on the Home timeline unless you also follow the person that they are replying to. However I noticed that I could get around this by boosting my own reply.

   Does this recent reply I made show up on your home timeline currently? Thanks to anyone who answers!

     @Rycaut thanks, friend! Hopefully the rest of my people don't mind too much if I do this fairly often. I HATE that replies aren't shown unless you follow both people. Some of my replies have important/good/entertaining bits in there!

     @BeAware This strat is a time saver for some of us overly curious. Normally if i see a comment not associated with someone else if follow I go into their profile and switch view to their Posts & Replies. Then i can see the entire thread - i've done that more than once with your account LOL

     @BeAware I had thought at one point that coding a "Reveal Thread" function would be super useful. Upon reflection, decided far too many users are not familiar with how to constrain or expand the intended audience for their posts using the Post Privacy settings on the input field. That could lead to another set of privacy issues altogether. but I'm just a skittish old policy wonk.

     @BeAware I saw this because I read using a list. I rarely just look at my timeline. But, after reading this, I looked on my timeline and I do not see this post.
