   @GW The lack of economic progress for decades by the middle class certainly contributed to their willingness to be swayed by the indoctrination. Also, our systemic racism was fertile ground for Trump’s brand of otherness.

     #Trump used #misinformation to change people's minds, spread lies, and build a cult of personality.

     Plaguing people with false stories and playing on their fears and complaints, indoctrination helped fascist ideas become accepted.

     It successfully brainwashed the masses, creating an environment where people would follow authoritarian rules.

     The historical significance of #propaganda's role in supporting #fascist regimes is a stark warning of how it can normalize extreme and oppressive ideas
