     @milk Well, think about what we've seen. Druckenmiller and Romney publically saying how nervous they are about the democrats.
     
     This is classic "ratchet is going too fast" behavior. They are going to do what they've been doing for 70 years, reach for the republican hand brake.
     
     But again, we are spending one trillion dollars every one hundred days.
     
     At current interest rates, we spend another trillion per year on interest on the debt.
     
     If we go ZIRP, inflation explodes again.

     @000a @milk I would argue that it isn't that people are forgetful, but the pace of modern life is intentionally too hard for the bottom 80%, and for the top 20% it's just a matter of when it stops being fun.
     
     Sunday was a day for rest for a reason.

     It's such a slow boil that it's not enough for people to get involved, and by the time they would do something about it they're 60 years old. And then the next generation has only known XYZ so it's not enough for them to do anything about it because it doesn't feel all that different than yesterday.
