@augustus @CrustyB we wwatched LA Confidential for SPC movie night recently and it portrayed race relations accurately and without embedded commentary explaining to us that they writer and director know it is bad so I have to assume that fantastic movie is just completely unwatchable by a huge chunk of the US population at this point.

@CrustyB I think anything even decades old at this point is interesting just because of how far present culture has progressed since then. even many 90s films are considered horrifically beyond the pale and un-PC these days

I have. It's visually entertaining but the script stinks of "Temple Of Doom" type humor. Even Belushi couldn't save it. It's worth taking a look at for interest sake.
