@mischievoustomato @thegreatape it makes sense when you learn emilo crapliarilo runs the lore for bethesda. the man who publicly says things like "why should i be beholden to stuff someone wrote 20 years ago" wrt. continuity of story, and also that he doesn't believe in having or distributing developer notes. so nobody at bethsoft actually knows what they should be doing.
contrast to a competent writing team such as toys for bob wrt. star control 2, where the head writer outlined the major beats and then gave the subcontractors the outline, the area they were to write plots for, and basically said cool just keep it in these parameters.
also they hired randoms from a college with no experience and dumped the entire project on them with barely any help :blobcatdunno:- dilbert 1 likes this.

@icedquinn@blob.cat @mischievoustomato@rebased.taihou.website the whole game felt like a stress test for how much bullshit you can put a consumer base through. From the broken promises to the shoddy workmanship showing at launch, it was just a never ending feed of let downs.
