The chances of winning the "middle-class lottery"—and transforming from worker to owner—grow ever slimmer 🎲
What would it take for 'managers', developers and people with PhD's to realize it isn't worth playing any more? 🤔

@douginamug what is the meaning of "play" here?
@douginamug but unionising is for securing the disposable income and securing home ownership as a part of collective bargaining. the motives do not change to much, just the tools. And well, worker collectives are not that sharp of a tool in use, dropping out/silent quitting an very individualised approach that does not do much.
@woodbark 'not playing' would be unionising, worker collective formation, dropping out/silent quitting/Tang Ping and any other anticap stuff
@woodbark hmm... I guess 'playing' is striving as a worker, in the hope that will lead to promotions in or between companies ---> capital accumulation, passive disposable income, secure home ownership, etc
