     the issue with gold and silver is that when it's time to sell it, everyone else will be selling too, and the price will be rock bottom

     @graf @Shini_Koroshi same thing is happening in Australia rn. People are not allowed to remove their cash. I think the point in removing it is so that you have it in hand. Whether it will remain fungible is a good question. Putting it into gold or silver is an excellent way to actually keep a store of value that is always fungible. Unless they confiscate it again, that is.
