@mp@fedi.monkee.ch well, that might be true to the dialects which are kinda centralized in the general langauge family. but there are a couple ones which are sometimes more of a mix. especially those close to the röstigraben
and ofc those which were kinda isolated for a long time
and well, there is bündnerdeutsch, which is more like an accent than a dialect (because afaik, it originated from romansh speakers speaking swiss german)
