normally you cook the rice until all the water evaporates, that's why you don't open the lid, that lets the vapor escape and it's the vapor that is cooking the rice -

theres long grain rice, short-grain rice (japanese) and brown rice
you can wash it or not
you can use different amounts of water depending on how moist?wet? you want the rice
or you can use a looot of water then strain it similar to pasta -

with rice, if you have your other foods be salty, you can't tell the rice is unsalted
unless you like to eat the rice by itselfsnacks likes this. -
