lamp (lamp@kitty.haus)'s status on Monday, 13-May-2024 08:36:19 JST lamp #chrome on #ipad sucks, not only the new tab page is same narrow stuff designed for iphone, theres no way to put bookmarks there, it just puts whatever in quick access, it takes two taps and an animation to launch a bookmark.
and no themes... it's ugly. #google should put more work into this.-

vertka (vertka@suya.place)'s status on Monday, 13-May-2024 09:09:50 JST vertka @lamp @bot tl;dr: browser built-in password managers suck, get Bitwarden if you don't want it depend on browser ecosystem.
Password manager built into web browser always seemed like a feature creep to me. I don’t really understand why you should give browsers such responsibility for keeping passwords and syncing them. Also I doubt that you can sync such data between different brands, for example Chrome and Opera, which don't share their ecosystem with each other. There is Bitwarden and it seems good enough if you need synchronize passwords between multiple devices. -
