For some reason I think that CDs are already dying out rapidly as they are getting less common in car audio — and they have nothing to offer in term of aesthetics as compact cassettes and vinyls do.
And this is coming from an avid CD appreciator, I have a whole cabinet of them and a few standalone CD players.-
