Replace "computer" with 'billionaire' and you get a fairly approximate explanation of the world we're unfortunately living in right now.

What people colloquially call by the misnomer "the algorithm" is actually *policy* as implemented on behalf of said billionaires.

"AI" doesn't make bad decisions and computers don't make bad decisions. Billionaires make bad decisions, and you make bad decisions.
