     Say all you want about Telegram and it's supposedly Russian origins but after the recent news about Protonmail complying with legal requests to provide an account's recovery email and this article about Signal and arrests made in conjunction to data they've provided, I can only say I've never heard of a single arrest made because Telegram complied with local law enforcement requests.

     P.S. if it isn't obvious enough Moxie Marlinspike works for the US government. Likely NSA.
