@Umlaut for sure. Obviously the people that have 100k to burn will never leave, and they have a hobby that people have put a huge portion of their lives into, but in a time of rapidly disappearing discretionary funds, it seems like it would be smart to avoid things that could decimate your culture.

@sickburnbro @Umlaut I'm a bit guilty of sunk cost fallacy on this issue. Got into 40k at the start in 87 and am still playing & collecting with a couple of 2or 3 year gaps for going raving like a degenerate in the 90s and again a few years ago when i was unemployed.
I do occasionally play other games but its a damn sight easier to find players for space marines etc than for newer niche systems. Also storage struggles are bad enough before diversifying.
