@sickburnbro I don't know why that guy feels unconcerned. The less capable the GAE is at conventional warfare the more likely they'll go nuclear if things get hot against Russia, China or Iran and it looks like they'll lose.

@caekislove your assumption that they are capable at nuclear warfare is optimistic.

What I'm worried about is what happens when everyone knows that they aren't.

@Krieger_88 so what he is saying is that they have or are going to scrap their pre-positioning ships. He is not uninformed. He is simply saying "I think the direction the military is taking is stupid" - they know they are doing this, and are saying "well, this isn't how combat is going to be fought"

That looks like the uninformed and presumptuous speculations of a retard who wants updoots.

But, hey, if both the USMC AND the USMC are saying those things, who knows?

@Krieger_88 but as we know, combat is rarely fought the way the defender wants it to be fought.

        Fogbank
Fogbank (stylized as FOGBANK) is a code name given to a secret material used in the W76, W78 and W88 nuclear warheads that are part of the United States nuclear arsenal. The process to create Fogbank was lost by 2000, when it was needed for the refurbishment of old warheads. Fogbank was then reverse engineered by the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) over five years and at the cost of tens of millions of dollars. Fogbank's precise nature is classified; in the words of former Oak Ridge general manager Dennis Ruddy, "The material is classified. Its composition is classified. Its use in the weapon is classified, and the process itself is classified." Department of Energy Nuclear Explosive Safety documents simply describe it as a material "used in nuclear weapons and nuclear explosives" along with lithium hydride (LiH) and lithium deuteride (LiD), beryllium (Be), uranium hydride (UH3), and plutonium hydride. However, NNSA Administrator Tom D'Agostino disclosed the role of Fogbank in the weapon: "There's another material in the—it's called interstage material, also known as Fogbank", and arms experts believe that Fogbank is an aerogel...

@sickburnbro Not maintaining a functioning nuclear arsenal would be suicide, but looking at their policies in multiple other areas it certainly couldn't be ruled out.
