   Dort entscheidet der Privateigentümer (#Musk)
   - welche Regeln für die #Kommunikation gelten (und zwar jeden Tag neu - #GoElon ?)
   - wer zugelassen wird (#Trump) und wer nicht ?
   - wer für die Plattform arbeitet und wer nicht ?
   - ob die Plattform offen bleibt oder sich ändert ?

     @wamdamdam Nein, es ist ja nicht das selbe... Bei Mastodon kannst Du umziehen und deine Follower mitnehmen (zumindest die bei Mastodon). Nur fuer deine Daten (Toots/Medien) gibt es (noch) keine Migration, aber dein Netzwerk kannst Du mitnehmen.

     Geht bei Twitter nicht, wenn Du zu TruthSocial gehst.

     @ij @lfdi Auch das ist das selbe. Ich habe auch bei Twitter die Möglichkeit woanders hin zu gehen. Siehe Trump.
     Nur verliere ich dadurch halt meine Reichweite - genau so wie wenn ich bei Mastodon einen neuen Account aufmache.
     Und selbst mit einem eigenen Server ist es gleich. Peering ist ja freiwillig.

     @wamdamdam Ja, schon, aber Du hast bei Mastodon die Moeglichkeit, woanders hinzugehen, wenn dir die Regeln des einen Servers nicht passen oder eben deinen eigenen Server zu betreiben oder betreiben zu lassen, wo Du dann selber deine eigenen Regeln aufstellen, aber trotzdem mit der Mehrheit der anderen kommunizieren kannst.

     Versuch das mal bei Twitter. ;)

     @lfdi Das ist doch auf einem Mastodon-Server exakt das selbe. Da entscheidet auch der Betreiber ("Privateigentümer"), was erlaubt ist und was nicht, und wer zugelassen wird und wer nicht

     That’s why I love using Hubzilla most of all. It is my favorite Fediverse software. One can take one’s entire presence, usually in the form of a created channel, wherever one goes, within the Hubzilla Zot networking protocol. That is, one can clone one’s channel, followers, and content, including articles, posts and photographs, to one or multiple instances, as a safeguard to future calamity. Indeed, I have several clones existing on different instances. My followers and those I follow, aren’t even aware of the changes, because as far as they’re concerned, no mater through which incarnation, we interact, they’re totally oblivious of whether they’re dealing with a cloned existence, or my original profile. It’s a very innovative approach to communications networking.
