  @WarnerCrocker Have you watched Manhunt on Apple TV+? It’s ostensibly about the search for John Wilkes Booth, but it’s really about the off-battlefield victories the rebellion won after surrendering. It made me shudder, and it’s certainly relevant for today.

  @devondundee I did watch it. I wasn’t impressed with the series but they did get most of the history reasonably correct. That period must have been frightening for those in the know. AND most of the country weren't even close to being in the know.
