   The part of the university encampment shutdowns that is most upsetting is that the vast majority of Americans -- about 2/3 -- disapprove of Israel's actions in Gaza.

     That means that university officials who want a ceasefire are getting police who want a ceasefire to shut down encampments of students who are just asking for what the rest of us already want: a ceasefire.

     @DavidBHimself sure. I'd guess that university officials lean Democrat (77% in favour of a ceasefire) and police probably lean Republican (56% pro ceasefire).
