     I hear your point though, some coffee lovers take it too far.
     
     Go around telling people you didn’t sleep well and eventually one of them will go into their quitting coffee journey - those are the ones I’m talking about.

     @Tony i talk about undersleep all the time and i never had anyone talk about how he quit coffee, i did however see losers so obsessed with coffee, they even made it a forced "meme" on fedi to call it "cofe" and have a hashtag for it
     and don't conflate caffeine with coffee tbh, there's a reason why people hate decaf

     @Tony no i didn't, ever, is it an american thing to go apeshit over caffeine? cuz the last time i ever had anyone talk about it negatively in my life were my parents scolding me for drinking caffeinated sodas and then not being able to sleep

     The obsession over things like coffee is westernized though. It's like the whole "hippy" or recently "hipster" thing. People from like london or other "western" places probably all do it and are super annoying about it.
