I’ve spent the past few days driving across the country. The natural beauty of Arkansas and of Oklahoma surprised me. The aggressive, creepy white Christian evangelical vibe of western Tennessee did not surprise but it disturbed me. The Texas panhandle was as nuts as I anticipated.
