Everyone has 8 months to convince 3 independent or republican voters, they know personally, to protect our rights and the vulnerable in this country. Have a conversation. Put them at the center of the narrative. Then explain how their actions will impact people they love and care for. Have patience. Lots of patience. Chip away at it. Prepare ahead of time for an opportunity. Do not speak to them like you do on social media. Address their concerns seriously.
People's lives depend on this.

@textualdeviance I am sorry that you have gone through this. It is a terrible thing to have your family against you. I had success with my brother but he was not MAGA. The most extreme (MAGA) are almost impossible. It is the middle of the road, republican by default, that can be convinced.

@noondlyt If only. I tried for 30 years to get my family to consider my basic human rights when voting and never got anywhere. I've now divested myself from almost all of them. It's a cult, and you can't fight blind faith with reason.
The couple of people I think I can reach, though, are the left-leaning ones who don't understand how our government is structured and think Democrats are to blame for the shit we're in, despite our being outnumbered in elected offices.

I'm sorry, but people don't care about "the vulnerable". The pandemic has clearly shown us that.
This needs to be sold, like anything, with the question "WHAT WILL IT DO FOR ME?" How will I (CAPITAL I) benefit from voting Democrat across the board?
Unless it's SOLD to people with clear examples of what it will mean TO THEM, America will be over. So will the rest of the world.
