     @mario I've had their back catalogue on repeat since last night. Have you heard Konono Nº1? Hexman on New Games really reminds me of them, tonally and rhythmically.

     @benjaminparry no, I'll have to check them out, thanks! Another band they sometimes remind me a little of is Horse Lords - if you don't know them, you may like them. Great live band too!

     @benjaminparry yes, love them! Their lead singer has done some interesting (but very different) stuff since then. Under her own name 後藤まりこ (Goto Mariko) and 後藤まりこアコースティックviolence Pop.

     @benjaminparry I've only just started it, so too soon to say... Off the top of my head (I'll be missing out a lot here), some of my favourites are Sayaka Murata, Hiromi Kawakami, Yoko Ogawa, Yu Miri, Banana Yoshimoto.

     @mario @lastfm @mariolistens I used to be but not anymore. Yeah I've been snooping on your Lfm playlist. Your Bandcamp is full of stuff I want to check out. I'm on a strictly Japanese diet atm so if you've got any other recommendations let me know.
