   @jacqueline that's kinda the point I guess? the underlying semantics are mostly already great, just swap out the syntax and tweak the most egregious of the problems (globals by default, statements, and const being opt-in instead of opt-out)

     fennel is odd to me because lua is already what i would call a "c-style lisp"
