     @navi @ada Yeah but IIRC you end up with limitations like not being able to have things like cookies/ObjectStorage for things like quick saves.

     there's no real need for hosted browsers like electron or cef on desktop
     
     just host a local website and talk via api calls.
     
     "but we don't want to have the internet accessing the app!"
     
     just... don't bind to 0.0.0.0? bind to 127.0.0.1??

     @ada i wish requirements for "installing" apps in chrome didn't also require HTTPS, i had to add exception to add mympd hosted from my SBC
