   I squeezed 40 minutes out of the work day, drove out to the practice, brought my nearly empty meds bottle with me, asked for a refill. They said my GP was there that day so I thought she would probably fill it.
   By the time I got home I had a text from the pharmacy saying my prescription had been called in. 🎉🎉

   Whew!!

     Also as I may have mentioned, one of the big reasons I chose this apartment location in 2017 was it was close to my son's school AND to the neighborhood family medical practice we had attended for nearly ten years. Literally walking distance. Really important.

     Then at the recent onset of the Big Consolidation (of medical practices and resources into mega-facilities run by insurance companies) our doc sold out and moved into a new mega-facility outside of town. I hate everything about it. 😠

     My GP still hasn't responded to my repeated requests to refill my antidepressant, which in my case is crucial for staying awake longer than two hours at a time. It runs out tomorrow. I am stressing out so much.

     It also means I will have to take the time out of my already stressfully packed day to drive all the way across and outside of town and march in there in person to demand--er, kindly request--a refill. 😤

     It's been a week of not enough sleep and a whole lot to do. I have so much going on today. I awoke thinking it was Friday, which usually doesn't happen until Thursday.
