   Obsidian sync is great, it does not play well with some cloud backup systems, so be careful (I've had data loss).

   It's got great support for most things out of the box, plugins aren't always necessary. BUT some good plugins are: Dataview (lets you embed project queries), and Templater (templates exist but it helps).

   @nicole is incredible and has lots of great educational stuff out there.
