     @meso i read them as a kid and i thought they were okay but no i never really understood the hype at all. i only even read them in the first place because they were chapter books and i was like 7 and liked proving i could read at a high level or whatever.

     They turn a boring british book into their whole personality and i personally found them to be extra annoying when they don't agree with JK's political views and try to justify it to anyone who doesn't care
