   There's been a UK court ruling that nonbinary people are entitled to binary GRCs if they want them.

     @The4thCircle Being legally identified as a different binary gender from one's gender assigned at birth may be less distressing than having no recognition at all.

     Forgive my ignorance but why would a nonbinary person want a binary GRC? That seems like the wrong solution entirely.
