   the only reason I have interest in doing something as weird as manually installing Debian is purely to avoid having fucking tasksel coming up and making me install xfce or end up with a half broken environment.

     if you mean debootstrap, that's how I usually do it... but for desktops I run tasksel after anyway

     @menherahair archs scripts should take care of the process when I have to do it. Lol. I'll just install the system as if it's Arch but with debootstrap replacing pacstrap

     @munir @menherahair I meant the handy scripts they make you use during the install process like Arch-chroot and genfstab.....
