   I don't mean this as a moral judgement in any way but I don't get people who refuse on principle to be polyamorous in video games just because they're not poly in real life. Like, in a video game you don't have to deal with any of the real life consequences that make polyamory difficult. Video game characters cannot get jealous unless coded to do so, you have infinite time to spend with each of them. There are essentially 0 down sides. If you still refuse to do it on principle I have to assume you either consciously or subconsciously think polyamory is gross or you would love a video game that just simulates doing your taxes

     "I don't have anything against polyamorous people I'm just not comfortable being in a poly arrangement of any kind" ok well I'm not comfortable murdering people but I still do that in video games because in video games I don't have to deal with things like "the law" or "planning the murder so I don't get caught" or "consequences of my actions"

     @FirstProgenitor I kind of have sone sympathy to the "no in-game drugs" angle because I've encountered in-game depictions of drug taking that have given me pangs for stuff I no longer use in meatspace.

     But I can't imagine any way that in-game polyamory could have that kind of potential psychological impact. 🤷

     Like imagine in a video game you could get high or whatever and someone says "I refuse to do that because I'm straight edge in real life" like that's just such weird dorkus behavior

     Like I just cannot imagine passing up kissing two characters you like at the same time just because in real life it would give you the icky
