   i like that when a project isn't shit i can just host it in like 5 minutes flat now

     @shibao it didn't do anything clever like that when i used it. if you have created a stock unit and given it the upc code, it will remember that when you scan in new groceries later though

     @shibao i will say grocy is really nice so long as you have buy-in from everyone who touches food where you live. it's really tedious when you have other people who just absolutely refuse to work with you on it.
     
     i used it in a family setting and even asked them to just leave the stuff that we used up on an area of the counter so i can come scan it out and throw it away, and they wouldn't even do that, which made the experience an incredibly tedious process of having to go by with a clipboard and do a full inspection all the time.

     @shibao esp cause i think you can set stock requests in there so when you run out of things it will just put it in to your next shopping cart, and if you bother with the tedium of teaching it your recipes it will actualy give you a shopping list from your weeks meal plan.
     
     which is some onerous data entry but its neat
