ChristopherI’m listening to the new Mount Kimbie full length as drive home from work tonight. I’m surprised at its indie rock sound with the strum of guitars and decidedly lo fi esthetic. The songs themselves are catchy and had me thinking of the 90’s UK group HOOD a bit. MK started in the later stages of UK dubstep and morphed into many interesting forms over the years with their last recording working with UK RnB and MC’s from all over Europe. Low key presentation, great LP.
