     @seraph @pluralistic Good grief, it’s the Yahoo “medireview” bug all over again. You know the one: Yahoo replaced potentially dangerous JavaScript commands with more innocuous synonyms in emails. As a global search and replace, with no regard for context (like spaces or punctuation). “eval” got replaced with “review”, and all of a sudden, people interested in history from 500 to 1500 years ago were reading about “medireview” topics.

     @jscholes @seraph @BorrisInABox It's actually the other way around: "netflitwitter" becomes "netflix". It looks like they're just doing a string search for "twitter.com" and swapping it out with "x.com", so if someone makes a post linking to netflitwitter.com, it will look like netflix.com

     @seraph I don't get it. If it replaces twitter dot com with x dot com, how does "netflix" become "netflitwitter"? For that to happen, they'd have to be replacing x dot com with twitter dot com. @BorrisInABox
