  Fadi est originaire du quartier d'al-Nasser, dans la ville de Gaza. Pendant des mois, le gouvernement israélien l'a pour ainsi dire puni pour les attaques menées par le Hamas le 7 octobre. Fadi n'a rien à voir avec ces attaques, évidemment, parce qu'il a six ans.

  Von Israel auferlegte Hungersnot in Gaza
  
  Fadi kommt aus dem al-Nasser Viertel in Gaza-Stadt. Monatelang hat die israelische Regierung ihn im Grunde für die von der Hamas angeführten Angriffe vom 7. Oktober bestraft. Fadi hatte natürlich nichts mit diesen Angriffen zu tun, denn er ist sechs Jahre alt. Fadi leidet außerdem an Mukoviszidose, einer Erbkrankheit, die die Lunge beschädigt. Durch die israelische Blockade war es für seine Mutter schwierig, ausreichend Nahrung und notwendige Medikamente für ihn zu bekommen. Mitte Januar hatte sich Fadis Gesundheitszustand so sehr verschlechtert, dass er nicht mehr laufen konnte. Vor dem Krieg hatte er 30 Kilogramm gewogen. Jetzt wiegt er nur noch 12.
