@PonyPanda @rher @sickburnbro I have no clue regarding the bridge incidents, so I never took position. But I like and agree with your important big picture analysis. We all inherently jump to conclusions. Real thinking begins where this habit has been caged and muffled.

@irie @PonyPanda @rher modern society has trained people to jump to conclusions - the whole "snarky" thing means quick comebacks are in vogue, which means making assumptions so you can "own" people.
Also, saying this without qualifiers "sounds" stronger when people are punished for misspeaking, which is what happens.

In old days, when someone asked you a question it was expected that you would pause and think before answering. Responding quickly was considered rude & dismissive. Today it's de rigueur and you're looked at as a retard if you take time answering someone.

@CrustyB @irie @PonyPanda @rher right - thinking about an answer is coded as "you are stupid"
Which people who have been programmed by a destructive ideology love, because they have their talking points for all important things and are trained to redirect to those to stay in control.

@CrustyB @irie @PonyPanda @rher Conservatives, yes. But as we've seen with "the left can't meme", compared to *dissidents* they are weak. And they hate that they can't win their own game.

My co-worker once asked me for some conservative one-liners he could use on his liberal friends. I told him there were none, that leftists were the ones who like trite sayings that are concise enough to fit on bumper stickers and backpack buttons whereas the right prefers complex, historically informed arguments.
