   @RWA temperture in the shade likely didnt change at all. You were expierncing a lack of IR heat transmittance which is only felt when in the direct sun. Its why its cooler in the shade.

     The eclipse met all my expectations.

     During totality it was pitch black. The temperatures dropped by 20°. It was unbelievable.
