     @shibao I first learned about it when I was 10 or so and it quickly became an obsession, I ended up following Haiku religiously for a few years and the one guy I was actually friends with IRL for a few years before I met my current friend group on IRC was actually a convinced BeOS nut in the 90s and tipped me off to the 2001 source leak of it on BeShare, which started an obsession in itself of collecting and disseminating leaked source and other rare operating system and software ephemera (something which I ended up getting quite adept at over the years for better or worse)
