     @lamp really the main thing I thought of when I saw that, was the amount of cheap shit that is barely configureable, being put in the position of server hardware. That is hell

     This is unexploited market still, forget portable desktops. High I/O Ethernet ports ups ram speed and modular hard drive with optional external hard drive bay you can take to your local NSA headquarters fast down and up speeds. Then take it comfortably to different server facilities for quick dedicated server rack services without needing any rack, just some free space on a floor or desk or wall or ceiling in the server room.

     @kirby@lab.nyanide.com my friend uses one of his laptops as one since it's cheap and low-power; I formerly hosted catposter on a laptop-like mini pc, and there's a chance I'll move back.
