     When Tesla was the only game in town, I think people were more willing to put up with this weirdo.

     Now that the traditional automakers have some decent products and are gaining access to the Tesla charging network, purchasers have far more options.

     The biggest problem, as I understand it, is that he and Larry Ellison (another insane nut) hold the majority of the stock so the board can't get rid of him like they need to do.

     He needs to get booted out of management of #Tesla and #SpaceX or both of them are going down despite the fact that muskrat has nothing to do with the innovation in either company but the people who are doing it are suffering

     This is going to go into a lot of MBA curricula in the chapter for "charismatic leadership dangers"
     It is actually quite amazing to see leaders whose characters or mental health issues cost an organizations billions, or drive them onto the rocks
