@copygirl@fedi.anarchy.moe i mean, we have already started this a long time ago. see dogs, cats, cattles, any domestic animal really.
but that aside, i think doing this to all animals would be a really really bad move. it would destroy tons of ecosystems in a very drastic way leading probably to the extinction of many species.
so from my view, if humans would consider such a move, they sure as hecc wouldnt have figured themselves out yet

I was just thinking, what if in the far future – assuming humanity has figured itself out – we genetically modify animals to essentially not hurt anyone or anything. If we could live alongside bears, raccoons, wolves, and other wild animals.
I bet there's a ton of ethical concerns. Creating dependency on humans. Predators will have to be fed. Removing something that is natural to them.
But I wonder if in the end, that would be the right move? To "fix" animals hunting and hurting one another. Maybe we could live together in harmony? (And then the fire nation attacked.)
