No animals were harmed in the process. It's interesting. I can't stop eating meat because when i do i feel like crap, but with this kind of technology i think i could become a quasi-vegan.
As far as i know cancer is infinitely growing cells that cannot be controlled, cancer cells arise from normal differentiated cells by mutation. Stem cells contain the correct dna without mutations, they can also grow indefinitely, but only on demand and then can differentiate into normal cells such as meat.
The difference is like a bicycle and a train - both have wheels, but the rest is different.
