I somewhat discounted this closed loop approach when they first started trying to commercialize it because they would need high temperatures for such a small heat exchange area in order to produce much power.
But, if they installed one at a depth of 18,000' that's pretty impressive. Until they've produced many MWhrs though I'm still somewhat skeptical. Hope it works out to be economic though don't get me wrong.
