     @bobdobberson well the ccp *is* a threat. they have that unrestricted warfare doctrine as a state goal, which basically says to clown and weaponize every aspect of every institution to put themselves on top. and they have been doing that game successfully while the west fucks around with marxism.
     
     cf. belt and road, confucius institutes, CCP secret police in the west, how much undue influence they hold in academia (your phd can be cancelled if you threaten the CCP, even though you are Swiss getting a Swiss degree)
     
     though for cybersecurity the NSA already does its part to clown standards. CCP probably just opportunistically makes use of the dumb shit that gets left behind.

     @icedquinn that guy is wild. To imagine that the Chinese or other foreign actors are behind the division within the US.

     To imagine that it is not those in power hoping to keep the people divided, so they may retain their power, but instead some 'foreign' threat, some threat we are working to keep people safe from, and not a threat that we are already deeply in bed with.
