   digital political dead cats are wild things.

   tory london mayoral candidate had a major red faced moment where they used footage of a panicked stampede of pedestrians to suggest how bad london has become but then it was pointed out it was footage of new york and had to change their advert.

   now today theres a story everywhere about how a comedian was told he had to change his advert which featured a hot dog.

     @siege I looked it up out of curiosity & it’s very disorienting to see people in the extremely New York hell out of Penn station running with an American accented voice over it talking about ~KNIFE CRIME~ which makes it sound like they’re all running from one guy with a box cutter lol the footage isn’t even from this decade!!!
     I wonder if the combo of American voice + secretly American footage is supposed to push home ‘ohh it’s really bad if an AMERICAN thinks it’s bad?’
