   This is what I keep saying.
   
   The middle east is the way it is because nobody there ever forgets.
   
   I remember back in the 80's a knife intifada where some muslim attacked a bunch of people in Tel Aviv and when asked why he did it - he spouted some nonsense about shit that happened back in 800AD.
   
   They still wail at that wailing wall, and you can be sure they think of you as the spiritual successors of the Romans who pulled down their temple.

     @thefinn @sickburnbro They still bitch about doing manual labor for Egypt, which was their part of the agreement Ramses made for them to settle Goshen during the massive famine in Judea. They made a whole religious ritual about it.
