   This recent event about Affinity might be a good push to try to avoid features that can't be handled by SVG. The biggest problem will be the layer blending modes because these straight up don't export and I use them extensively.

     Before anyone says "just use Inkscape directly": Hahaha, I wish I could, but it's a usability nightmare. And by god, I tried. I spent an hour tuning the UI as much as I could but nothing can fix the sheer clunkiness of everything. No layer thumbnails. No easy handling of masks. Inefficient use of space to vomit form elements all over it. I just can't use it.

     @volpeon I saw someone recently really praising Inkscape and I was just bewildered. I'm glad Inkscape exists because I can do things I otherwise wouldn't be able to do but it is really not fun to work with.

     @Moon @volpeon Yeah, pretty sure if I'd edit SVGs somewhat regularly, I'd end up yak shaving into either improving inkscape (likely ending up with my own branch) or making my own SVG editor.
     Or just not care and consider that Krita vector layers are good enough.
