All those Amazon-labeled trucks, at least last I checked, were „independent contractors“, meaning they‘re all too small to unionize and to allow Amazon to apply the thumbscrews to get better terms. And of course distribute the risk away from Amazon.
Your statement holds, they have more control with Amazon Uber^D Logistics, but unfortunate phrasing.
