the gun debate has shifted, now they have to pretend to use gun owners to get what they want rather than being proudly ignorant of guns.

@epictittus @sickburnbro I always love the “not used for hunting” argument. A quick search of “hog hunting in Texas” reveals hours of bad ass footage that clearly refute that argument.

@Inglorious_BassTerd @epictittus yeah, versus a 400lb hog that is angry, I don't want anything less.
I'm not killing that thing as a trophy or as meat, but to keep it from ravaging everything.

@sickburnbro For the last time, 30 round detachables are the gold standard among magazines because of technical reasons, not because they're the most optimal size for killing stuff.
I am adamant they wouldn't screech about it if internal magazines and stripper clips were still prevalent.

@trjjb you assume they speak logic, which is an extremely dangerous mistake

@sickburnbro Man I'm just tired of this shit being regurgitated over and over. How many times can you eat the same hot-dog? A lot, it turns out.
I don't assume it's based on logic, I'm just obsessed by the psychology behind it.
The AR-15 demonization and a complete lack thereof when Mini-14 is involved made it clear it's the look that decides a "weapon of war", but it goes so much deeper than that, and I can't shake it out of my mind.
I thought there HAS to be a concrete, non-reductible list of criteria of what elements make libtards decide whether an arm is "evil" or "my pops hunting rifle", but every time this discourse comes up, more shit gets added to the list.
We got so far:
Semi-vs full auto. Okay, that's understandable.
Magazine sizes. Okay, that's kinda dumb, but I guess the non-initiated make mistakes like that.
Barrel-loaders vs integrated cartridge. Oh, I see, the "founding fathers wouldn't want you to..." argument again.
Wooden vs All-black furniture. ???
There is no logic to it and I HATE it.

@trjjb Yes, it is extremely tiring - but them repeating the same shit over and over again and wearing people out is one of the ways they work.

@trjjb the logic is: the media makes sure to tie a specific weapon to crime and violence and the demonization is complete. All the other stuff about features is just window dressing.

@TakodachiEnjoyer @trjjb this is why I mentioned only what I did in the first poast: the tone of their tactics have changed; this is a shift in the environment, they don't think they can make progress by valorizing being ignorant of guns.

@trjjb @sickburnbro "I'm a gunowner, but I don't talk like a gunowner. I talk like an academic jew repeating anti gun talking points that the anti gun lobby has been saying for 40 years. But this time with a patronizing tone dripping with contempt that I would use on a child I was scolding. You've never debated some one like me before"
It's pretty easy to figure out the logic and principles if you can actually pin down a shitlib in a debate. You have to actually press them and not bother with all the pussy footing around the issues. They don't actually care about gun crime, or public safety. It doesn't even really register as a concern at all. They don't think about it. What they are really worried about is a cadre of their political rivals can either individually or as a group end the charade at any moment in either the macro or micro scale.

@trjjb @sickburnbro The logic is perpetual revolution. They will say and so anything to take away your guns so they can shoot you in the back of the head and dump you in a lime filled pit
Any questions?
