     I mean we ain't handing our data over to the UK gov't for this reason. We are under no obligation to since we are not based there. We will not give the Brits your IP or email or anything lol.

     @Falaichte @dushman Start your own instance and lock down the fe to the max or don't use an fe. It's the equivalent of doing that. The UK police can't prove posts on other instances with your @ come from you. (At least I think that's how it works. I don't know I'm not a lawyer)

     They just need to see one of my posts on an instance they use and then I'll end up getting arrested over a meet tweet like so many people have before me. That's why I've decided to make the majority of my posts follower-only, just to limit the range of my federation while not compromising on functionality.

     @Falaichte @dushman Honestly simply expressing your opinions online doesn't require you to put any protections on hiding Internet activity from the police. Even if you wanted to do it though simply using tor (and an instance with a tor portal, like ryona.agency) and having decent opsec is enough
